Current Event for Week of 12/4/06

Early in his first term, President Bush received a National Security Council memo outlining the world's inaction regarding the genocide in Rwanda. In what may have been a burst of indignation and bravado, the president wrote in the margin of the memo, "Not on my watch."Five years later and nearly four years into what Bush himself has repeatedly called genocide, the crisis in Sudan's Darfur region is intensifying without a meaningful response from the White House

the us should not get involved unless they have been asked for help in iraq no help is wanted but in darfur they may wat help it is like germany all over again but because there is no threat to the US we all look the other direction.

I don't think that the US needs to be involved in any more conflicts with other countries. Too many innocent lives are being lost in Iraq, so just think about how many lives could be lost should the US enter Darfur.

I don't think we should get involved because we already are involved in the war in Iraq. President Bush shouldn't do anything because he'd have more problems to worry about then he already does
