Current Event for 12/4/06

A man who lost his right hand 30 years ago, a hand transplant. David F. Savage was the 3rd person to have a hand transplant. He has many risk because of the long time since his injury. Another problem that they had was that his hand blood vessels has shrunk because of the years. He was the one who had the longest time without a hand that had the transplant. There is a posibility that his hand may stop working. The Dr says if it does he will do it again. It took 2 surgeries 32 doctors and 16 total hours. If the body would discharge the hand it will happen within the first couple of months

Wow. Thats interesting. I wonder if the body will reject the hand. Probably not. Weird.

it scares me that things like that are being done .while not having a hand is misfortunate it interfears with natural selection.

I think it's crazy what doctors are doing with people these days.
It's amazing to look back at the old days how they did things and look into the present and see how things are done now, with all the technology we have.
