Abortion Bill Fails in Waning Republican House

The U.S. House of Representatives, in its last days under Republican control, failed on Wednesday to pass a bill that would have required doctors to offer painkillers for fetuses before they abort them. Democrats who opposed the bill said it had no basis in science and interfered with the doctor-patient relationship.

Do you believe that the fetuses should recieve painkillers?Do you think that they really can feel the pain at that age? What is your view on abortion in general: pro-choice or pro-life?

abortion is a hard topic but it seems that this bill was for show not for the real reson of caring about the fetus. while if it were true i would hope they would give the baby something for the pain if you cant prove it there shouldnt be a law passed. the politicians spend too much time putting on a game for show but none of it is real they are looking to votes and polls not live of people. i think that women should be able to decide for themselves what they want. if they are not allowed to get an abortion legally they will do so illegally. that would put both individualls at risk.

This is one subject of which I am torn.
I think that abortion for someone that is sleeping around is a bad idea that should have to pay for their actions. But if one was to be impregnated by a rape that the mother should have a choice to keep the child or abort it.

I think that a fetus does feel pain in the womb because a fetus can feel hot and cold on the outside of the mothers stomache. Though I do not see the point in giving a painkiller to something that would die instantaniously.
