Schools say iPods becoming tool for cheaters.
Banning baseball caps during tests was obvious -- students were writing the answers under the brim. Then, schools started banning cell phones, realizing students could text message the answers to each other.
Now, schools across the country are targeting digital media players as a potential cheating device. Devices including iPods and Zunes can be hidden under clothing, with just an earbud and a wire snaking behind an ear and into a shirt collar to give them away, school officials say.

Do you think that iPod's should be banned from Perry? Have you ever thought about doing this? Do you think theres a way to put and end to cheating?

Aren't iPods already banned from Perry?
Well, anyway, this is just like any other form of cheating. If it's caught, the student gets in trouble. You can ban stuff all you want but it won't stop kids from bringing their electronics to school, it just stops them from using it when a teacher's looking. Students will always cheat, that's just how life is. All schools can do is crack down on the cheating method, though banning the iPods outright is rather pointless.
This is bazard. There is nothing you can really do about cheating. Its going to happen no matter what. Kids will always find a way to cheat. And if not the ipods then it will be something else.
no i don't think they should ban ipods at perry and there will never be a way to stop kids from cheating no matter what is done. no i have never thought about cheating using an ipod.
i do not think that it is necessary to ban ipods. the kids basically use them just for listening to music after the class lectures are done and have free time. plus if a kid wants to cheat, they will find a way to cheat no matter what.
I think that it is stupid to ban iPods. Once iPods are banned kids will just move on to another method of cheating. I would never cheat but cheaters will always find a new and harder to detect way to cheat. I don't even know how to go about cheating with an iPod.
No, I don't think that Perry should banned ipods. I would have never even thought of using my ipod to cheat with. If they banned ipods then students will just find a new way.
people will always find a way to cheat, they had other ways before ipods and now they just find more new ways as things advance. you can ban ipods but they can obviously easily be hidden so you can't catch everyone. once ipods are banned, kids will just move on to something new. Cheating will never end.
iPods are already banned from Perry and I believe they should stay banned because many kids hide them from teachers just by using one headphone and a hoodie. I've never thought about cheating with an iPod but I know it would be pretty easy to just record your notes on the iPod and then listen to them on the test.
No I don't think ipods should be banned, especially if people claim they need them during tests. I know I need my ipod everywhere I go, including during homework. A lot of kids barely know how to use itunes to it's fullest. I guess they could pay someone to put the test cheating mp3 on their ipod, but it doesn't seem very realistic to me.
I think Ipods are banned, although some teachers allow it. There is no way to completely get rid of cheating. Students can think of new ways to cheat, because there are always flaws and loopholes in the system.
