What do you think prompted the attack? Do you think the zoo should be closed until investigators figure out what happened? Do you think the jaguar should have been shot, why or why not?

well first of all i think that the zoo keeper was prolly either either messin with the jaguar or teasin it or sum..but any ways this stuff could happen to anybody you just have to use precaution and dont be an idiot.. I think the jaguar should be shot if you see it attacking another person but if you mess with it than it will do that but hey i dunno..sttuff happens i guess!
It's a jaguar... why did something need to prompt the attack? It's an animal that is dangerous by nature, even if tamed. The jaguar was probably unhappy in captivity so it killed the zookeeper.
I don't think they needed to kill the jaguar, it's normal for it to be dangerous. It might have needed to be tranquilized or something, but killing it wasn't right.
something seems fishy about the whole situation...what reason would the zookeeper be in there in the first place? unless it was like some sort of love affair she had going with the jaguar i dont see any reason why she needed to be in there. well i guess for her stupid decision she earned herself a broken neck and an early grave.
when you treat wild animals with respect then they treat you with respect which is why i think that the zookeeper was teasing Jorge. i dont think an animal would attack for no apparent reason.
i dont think anything prompted the jaguar to attack because its natural for it to do that.
Also it didnt need to be shot because someone obviously wasnt being safe around it or not safe enough.the jaguar should have been tranquilized, not shot. i mean come on the animal is being held in a cage when it belongs out in the wild...if you were put in a cage by someone and had the chance to attack them somehow wouldnt you? i know i would.
I dont understand why the zookeeper went into the exhibit, if she had been there for awhile and was well aware of what the animal was capable of. She also knew that zookeepers aren;t allowed in the exhibuts. I think that this was completely the zookeepers fault and that the jaguar shot not be shot or out to sleep. That was the animals way of defense when she went in there.
a wild animal is always a wild animal. You can call it a name and put it in a cage but i don't think even training it a different way will make it abandon it's instincts. The jaguar could of felt threatened by the zoo keeper or even cornered so it acted to save itself because it doesn't know what was happening. I think it should of been shot because now you can't trust it anymore since it's tasted blood.
I don't think the whole zoo needed to close just maybe that area.
Instinct prompted the attack. The jaguar most likely felt threatened and therefore, attacked. The zoo should be closed until investigators figure out what happened because it is so hard to believe someone would put themselves in danger like this young lady did. The other zookeeper had no choice but to shoot the jaguar when it approached the rescue workers.
i think the zookeeper was stupid to go in the cage anyway. why would you want to even risk getting attacked by one of those things. maybe she thought there wasn't going to be a jaguar in there but then was suprised when she got attacked. who knows now. but i still think it was stupid to go in there to begin with.
This is a freak accident and no one is really at fault. We do not know why the victim entered the cage or what they were doing therefore we can't blame anyone. It is sad that the animal had to be killed and it is unfortunate but the other team worker was defending the other people that were trying to save the victim. It doesn't seem that anyone is at fault.
The zoo keeper was dumb for going into the jaguar cage, it's the jaguars instinct to attack when it feels threatened. I don't think that it should have been shot. It's the zoo keepers fault. Poor jaguar.
