I still think that Bush is trying to bring about the post-millenniumist view of the Apocalypse, so of course he would veto the bill. He wants to be in office when Jesus comes back, that way he's SURE to go to heaven. I mean, all of those dead soldiers are just collateral damage so Bush can go to heaven and have his clothing LEFT BEHIND.
I really want Congress to overrule his veto. I know that it would make Bush look worse than he already looks but seriously. How can you say that all major conflict is done and still have hundreds of billions of dollars go to that conflict which is "done." I do agree, however, with what Bush said about setting a deadline, that terrorists would mark it on their calendars. But I think that we should've started pulling our troops out years ago. Whether there is a new bill or this bill being overruled, a bill better be passed and we better start to get our troops home.
I think Bush shouldn't be vetoing all these bills, Congress and most of America wants to get out of Iraqi, Bush should just stop being an idiot && pass the bill.
there is a hidden agenda going on here and everyone knows it. what the problem is, is that there is no big movement to stop this. if there are soo many people that "are against" whats going on and want Bush out, then why dont we use our right as citizens to revoke the power WE gave to him. soo for anyone that voted for him i really hope that you have felt the affect of your vote
He is putting countless lives in danger because of his need to back his mistakes, but come on. All of us already know he's incompetant, this is just one more thing to go on that list. The forces, I don't think, should be completely recalled, but it might be a good idea to start moving them out of that area. We've been there to help long enough, it's time they tried to do things on their own.
