Current Event for the Week of 10/19

MANNY has always been MANNY

Read article here

How do you feel about the way Manny reacted to his homerun during the game against Cleveland, when the Red Sox got beat 7 to 3?

Fans, coaches remember slugger when he played in Canton Red Sox left fielder Manny Ramirez hammered a home run to center field Tuesday night and immediately threw both arms up in celebration. He’d just narrowed the Indians’ lead to four runs — generally not a time to rejoice. Indians players and fans were perturbed. Smiles, however fleeting, likely flashed across the faces of those who knew Ramirez when he played for the 1993 Canton-Akron Indians.

i think mannys response to his homerun was normal. Generally if a player gets a homerun, aren't they happy and want to rejoice? I think Indians fans just looked too much into the situation because obviously they feel betrayed that he's playing for the red sox. But really, feeling good about yourself and happy that you got ahomerun seems like a pretty normal reaction to me. People are taking it too seriously.

I personally don't think his response to the homerun is that a deal. I mean he's good and he knows it so why not be proud of it. It shows that eventhough they were losing, and knew they were going to lose he still had the willpower to do it. I think his reaction was just a normal reaction and he deserves to show off.

Some may feel Manny was being cocky or unsportsman-like, but i think its okay. If he did something good why should they care so much?I think they should be allowed to celebrate when they do well. If you do well you feel good about yourself i dont see why people are making it such a big deal.

i think that manny was just happy to have hit another homerum. to me it doesnt really matter how many runs your down by a homerun is a homerun. you never know that homer could have started a big rally for the red sox and nobody would be saying anything right now.

I personally think it was a cocky and ignorant gesture. If you are good enough to play in the MLB, or any other professional sports, then you dont need to be cocky.
