Two cleaning women in Chicago survived after being trapped in an elevator.

How would you react to being stuck in an elevator? What would you do to survive/be rescued? If you could choose anyone who would you want to be trapped with? If you didn't know the person that you were trapped with, what types of things would you talk about?
I know that these aren't the "normal" questions we usually answer...but...it's our last current event...thought it might be fun. It still has to do with people interacting, so it works! :)

If i was stuck in an elevator it wouldn't be a big deal beacuse i take my cellphone everywhere so i would never run into that problem of having no cellphone with me like them. I was amazed they survived on two cough drops& six aspirin. That is crazy! If i could be stuck with one person it would defiantly be Hugh Jackman. He is the cheese to my macaroni. If not him Will Ferrell because he would keep me entertained.
i dont kno wht i would do if i was in an elevator im kinda along the same lines as whobec as to i dont go anywhere with out my cell phone but if i didnt have service in there then i would just pound, kick do anything i could to those doors to try and get them open. if i had to be stuck in there with anybody it would have to be superman because he would get me out of there...the hulk would be okay too.
I think if i was stuck in an elevator i would first panic because i would feel trapped in a small area. I would probably think of different horror stories and reasons as to how or why i was stuck. I think i could survive it though; just as long as it wasn't over a few days or something. I would probably want Jason in there with me because he would encourage me and keep me thinking positive. If not Jason, then i would want my cousin, Jen, because she would make everything funny and easier to handle.
my thing is, why is this filed under 'funny stories'????????
how funny is the fact that they had to survive on cough drops and asprin?
how funny is it that they had to pee and poop in the corner and withstand the smell for two days?
how funny is it that they were stuck in there close to the holidays?
i don't know about you, but i'm sure if you were in that situation, you wouldn't think it was funny, definitely not CNN who filed it under funny stores!
Me? Stuck in an elevator? Highly unlikely, since I don't use them often. But, if it were to happen, I'd probably just sit in the corner of said elevator and just think about what could have caused "God" to put me in this position. >.>
To get rescued? Heh, after pondering what caused me to be put there, I'd remember that I had my cell phone and call 9-1-1 on that. >.<
Hmm. Who to be trapped with.. I'd want to be stuck with Johnny Depp. ^_^ And if it couldn't be Johnny Depp, it'd be my boyfriend. XD
Types of things to talk about. Hmm. I'd probably do the same thing I always do to make fiends with strangers. ^_^ XD Start talking in Japanese!!
Cracks me up they "survived on cough drops and aspirin for TWO WHOLE DAYS!" I'm sorry about their experience, but come on! What would they do if they were lost in the mountains of Montana for 2 days - a little more harrowing I would think!
I don't know what I would do if i got stuck in an elevator. I don't see how you survive on 2 cough drops and 6 aspirin, now thats amazing. If i had to be stuck in their with anyone it would be will smith. If i was trapped with someone i didn't know wouldn't probably talk to them.
Being stuck in an elevator is one of my worst fears...I hate riding on them. It's pretty lame but I always think about that when I'm on elevators, and if the door doesn't open right away I get scared. So...if I was in their position I would be freakin out. I think it's amazing that they survived on cough drops and asprin though. If I was trapped in an elevator I would want to be stuck with my brother cuz he would keep me laughing. If not him then my friend Brittany.
I wouldn't be too scared even after 2 days. someone would be bound to come in, even during a break. and your family would get worried and call the cops, who would check on your last know location.
I dont think i would be that scared if i was stuck in an elevator because its not like people wouldnt notice that the elevator was working and i dont think ive ever heard of someone dieing because they were stuck in a elevator for too long. If it was someone i didnt know i would prolly talk about sprots because i know a lot about that but you never know they could be someone who ends up being a friend. I i had to pick someone to be stuck with it would probably have to be have to be will ferrell or seth from superbad.
i think that if i was stuck in an elevator, it wouldn't worry me too much unless i was late for something. after awhile i would get a little panicked because it would be a confined, small area for more than a couple minutes. i don't understand why they took cough drops and aspirin to survive. what exactly is that going to do for you? i don't really know who i would want to be stuck with, someone that wouldn't annoy me that's for sure.
Umm...... calm, cool, and collected? Or I might freak out, depends who I'm stuck in there with. Ummm... use the emergency phone and ask for help. If I could choose anyone to be trapped with it would be MacGyver? (though I hate the show he could get me out of the mess) If I didn't know who they were I'd start small talk. What's your name? Do you have kids? Pets? Goldfish? Chinchillas? Do you like Joni Mitchell? etc.
Being stuck in an elevator would be horrible, especially around Christmas! I would probably freak out at first and then after I calmed down, I would just make the best of it as much as I could (I know that would be hard though considering there would be nothing to do). If I could pick who I would be trapped with, it would definately be one of my friends so it wouldn't be uncomfortable, probably Courtney because she would stay positive and have fun with it. It would be kind of interesting being with a stranger though. You could learn a lot about them and all the other things they are knowledgable about.
i think i would either enjoy being stuck in an elevator, or i would feel clastrophobic and just take a long nap. i am pretty sure people can survive without food or water for, like, seven days. it's not very probably that an elevator wouldn't be fixed in that amount of time. if not, i would just relax and die, i guess. i would choose emily owens to be stuck in an elevator with. if i didn't know the person, i sure would by the time we got out. i think we would play games.
