'Golden Compass' points first place at box office
With accusations that this film may premote atheism, 'Golden Compass' has still proven to be a fairly successful box office hit. It's average compared to some dramatic films sich as 'Atonement' and 'Juno' however, was far less seeing that it opened in more theatre's than both other films and didn't make as much. i think that they should be able to make whatever they want, considering they have freedom of press, and religion. And as far as holidays go, theaters make a killing, because so many people have nothing to do over the holidays.
