Who do you think did this to the contestant? Do you think it was one of her competitors? Did Rivera have too much experience to be in the competition in the first place?

well I personally think that whoever did this is pretty ignorant, but that is just my opinion. I believe that one of the competitors did commit this crime. For what reason, I don't know. Maybe it was to discolor the gown or something. But either way, she still one the pagent, so it won't make a difference either way.
I think the judges could've done that to her since they think she is to experienced and may have been disqualified, or it was the other contestants. either way thats wrong!!! Just because Rivera is good at soemthing doenst mean you should taint her products and steal her belongings so she wont win! She is skilled enough in the pageant industry and there's no way you can be too experienced and she shouldn't be disqualified , thats like saying Slash is too experienced with a guitar andshouldn't play anymore, or saying Lebron James is too skilled to play basketball, there's no such thing!!!
i think that the person who did this is someone who is jealous and wasnt in the competition and wanted to be. it couldve been a competitor but i dont know. it's a competition and if she had too much experiance, then someone shouldve spoken up sooner than that day. people have the right to be in whatever they want and if someone doesnt like tht then they should say sometihng!!!
I think it was another contestant embareesed that she was getting all the PR as the most likely to win. On top of that her experience can be really intimidating. I think it was selfish and immature. I congrat Rivera for keeping her composure and not giving in to the pepper spay. Pepper spray hurts, even a little bit on your fingers is almost intolerable. She is gorgeous and completly deserves her crown and her new title; if not for her beauty and grace, but for her dedication.
I think that whoever did this "prank" is just jealous. They obviously didn't want her to win, and were willing to stop at nothing to make sure she didn't. I think it was one of the contestants because some people are so competative and want towin so badly tha they will do whatever it takes even if they have to hurt soemone. We have become such a power hungry nation that all we care about is being on top, and we are threatened by anyone who is going to take our spot.
Well if i had to guess who did this i would say it was one of the other competitors. Whoever did this must of been jealous of her or something and they are ignorant for doing something dumb like this. But the good thing is that she still won the pageant even though someone did that to her gown.
Honestly, it was probably one of her competitors that didn’t like her or she could’ve even done it herself to get attention, actually it’d make sense that it was whoever lost to her in the Miss World Caribbean or someone who thought that she was too experienced. You see that kind of model sabotage in movies and television and there are some nasty models that would do things like that to a fellow competitor, and the article said that the Puerto Rican pageants were filled with scandal and accusations of sabatage. And to tell whether or not she was too experienced I’d have to read the rules and stuff. It is sad but she still won, so…
I think the person who did it was one of the other competitors who wasn't as good as her. Or it was someone who was just jealous of her. I think it was probably a competitor who isn't as talented or beautiful as her so they did it. I hope that they figure out who it was because that is so wrong!
Personally this article seems very stupid to me. I dont really have interest in the subject so i dont really have an opinion. I guess if i compare to an actual competitive situation the person that cheated should be punished. I would feel very stupid if i wa the person that did this.
The person who did this was most likely an enemy, someone who envies her, or someone that is really jealous and does not like her. They obviously did not want her to win and were willing to do anything to stop her. I don't understand how it is wrong that she has too much experience or what they mean by that but it should not count against her.
I think that whoever did this was jealous of Rivera. It does not matter how much experience some one has or how many pagents they have won. That just means that they are a hard worker and they deserve what they get. I think that this was very wrong and just because some one was envious of her, they did this. Personally, I would try to work harder and win the pageant fair and square.
I don't believe that a contestant would do this, who would risk the crown to make sure nobody else would win? I think somebody close to another contestant did it, a judge wouldn't have done it because she won anyway. This is probably just a case of jealousy. I don't understand why people were saying she shouldn't be in the pageant though. She won some other pageant, yes, but why does that prevent her from competing in this one? In any case, I feel sorry for Rivera, she hasn't done anything wrong and yet this happens. It's really sad that there are people like this in the world.
It said in the article that other contestants in the pagent thought she had an un fair advantage because of winning before, so i'll bet that one of the other girls doused the gowns. They probably hoped this would cause here to foul up some how and the would have a better advantage. Any way you look at it though the culprit faoled so it looks like the incident was all together pointless.
I think that whoever did pull this prank is not smart. It could have been one of the other competitors or someone hired by another competitor. They obviously hoped it would cause her to not go on with the competition or to have her look so ridiculous that she would be voted out. It doesn't matter if this girl has a lot of pagent experience if they didn't turn her down initially for the competition there is no need to disqualify her now just because she was doing such a good job. It does show how talented or whatever she must be though to have all that go on and still manage to win. So ultimately it makes her victory even more deserved and recognized.
